Katie Chen, Owner
Los Angeles matchmaker and relationship expert Katie Chen graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with degrees in Psychology and Economics.
For eight years, she enjoyed a successful management career in a dynamic $12 billion, privately held company, where she focused on cultivating her expertise in interviewing candidates, assessing talent, and personnel development.
In 2009, Katie co-founded Catch Matchmaking, a boutique personal matchmaking agency in Los Angeles, California. She quickly realized the value of her psychology background and her people skills for helping singles find their perfect catch. She finds that a big part of her success is the joy she gets from helping others to find and cultivate happy and harmonious relationships.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys traveling, personal fitness activities, exploring the outdoors, cooking and culinary adventures, movies, art, classical music and big band jazz, retro- and vintage culture, fine craftsmanship, self-development, and Shotokan karate-do.
Pro-bono, Katie Chen has volunteered for organizations such as Teach For America, Sharp Memorial Hospital, the Geffen Playhouse, and the Pasadena Humane Society.
She is a past president and vice president of her high school’s Key Club, and a current member of the American Cinematheque, the Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Garden and the International Shotokan Karate Federation.
Katie Chen currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Karate Foundation.
